Milestones of his life were his marriage to his wife Jan on March 20th 1983, and the birth of his son Tyler on October 17th 1991.
Professionally, Charles spent the last 45 years in the well control and snubbing hydraulic workover business. He traveled the world covering international areas such as Columbia, Trinidad, Southern Gulf of Mexico, Kuwait, Qatar, Australia, Indonesia, Singapore. In the states, he also worked in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland, Florida, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, North Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, and California. He owned several businesses, Snubbing Technology Services, Surface Control West and Professional Snubbing Services. He worked with famous oil well firefighter, Paul Neal “Red” Adair. He was on the team that capped the oil wells when Saddam Husein bombed them in Kuwait. Along the way, he met many trusted and admirable colleagues and friends, and he never missed an opportunity to converse and reminisce about the stories and adventures of his life.
Charles was an avid Georgia Bulldog football fan, and enjoyed watching college football with his family. In quieter moments, he loved to fish for Bluegill, Channel Catfish and Shellcrackers. He often would just catch and release. Driven by immense pride in his possessions, he enjoyed working on engines, cleaning and caring for his collection of guns, and polishing his cowboy boots.
He has left a legacy of love and family, and he will be missed by all those who loved him dearly.
