

Charles Ralph Winningham, 70, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Fairview Baptist Church, 5295 Fairview Rd. Gadsden, AL, with son, Phil Winningham, and Pastor of Fairview Baptist Church, Gary Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing. Visitation will be at the church from 1:00-3;00 p.m. prior to the service.
Mr. Winningham was a loving and faithful husband, father, and granddad. He loved and adored his sons, Steve and Phil, and had a very special place in his heart for his grandsons, Kyle, Caleb, and Matthew Winningham, and was devoted to all of his family. He was a 1962 graduate of Etowah High School, and retired from Goodyear with 37 years of service. One of his favorite pastimes was working with cars. He was a longtime member of Fairview Baptist Church, where he had many lifelong friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Christine Winningham; grandparents, Paul and Olive Brock, and Walter and Cora Winningham.
He is survived by his wife, Gina Winningham; sons Steve (Missy) Winningham of Byron, GA, and Phil (Susanne) Winningham of Prattville, AL; grandsons, Kyle, Caleb, and Matthew Winningham; sister, Nancy (Chris) Mason of Gadsden, AL; brother-in-law, Gary (Susan) Gladden of Gadsden, AL; niece, Betsy (Robert) Moody of Roswell, GA; nephews, Tyler (Jodi) Mason of Pike Rd, AL, Miles Mason of Gadsden, AL, John (Janna) Gladden of Albertville, AL; 6 grand-nieces and nephews; his best pal, a beloved dog named Blackie; several cousins; and many, many friends.
The family wishes to thank the Highland Volunteer Fire Department for their rapid response.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Kyle, Caleb, and Matthew Winningham; Chris, Tyler and Miles Mason; Robert Moody; Gary and John Gladden.
Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Brewer, Daniel Nance, Eddie Walden, and Terry McGowen.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Fairview Baptist Building Fund.
