Christopher Reuben Barnes

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014, at Collier-Butler Chapel for Christopher Reuben Barnes, 27, of Rainbow City, who passed away Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014. Pastor Eric Reeves will officiate. Burial will be at Highlands Memorial Gardens in Bessemer, AL. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services in charge of arrangements.

Christopher was the owner of Genius Automotive in Rainbow City. This was his dream job. He loved working on cars and very much enjoyed working with his father. Christopher had a kind heart. Everyone who knew him loved him. He will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his parents, Braxton and Dona Barnes of Rainbow City, Kelly Foster of Birmingham; sisters, Jessica (Justin Harris) Barnes of Gadsden, Jennifer Bryson of Pensacola, FL, K.C. Powell of Birmingham; brothers, Joshua Bryson of San Juan, TX, Cole Barnes of Mobile; grandmothers, Mary Anne Cole of Fort Payne, Carolyn Yager of Birmingham; and many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Cole Barnes, Joshua Bryson, Nicholas Allen, Justin Harris, Patrick Jones, Larry Bodily, Chase Poff, Jake Goza.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Haiti Foundation Against Poverty, 7700 W. Wackerley, Midland, MI 48642 (HaitiPoverty.org).The family will accept friends from 12:00-2:00 pm prior to the service.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the friends that were with them in this time of need.
