Chris was preceded in death by his father, James Blackwood; brothers, James David Blackwood and Edward Earl Blackwood; niece, Kaitlyn Blackwood; nephews, Jeff Rubrigi; Shaun Wolfe and Damion Lopez.
He attended Emma Sansom High School and was a self employed brick mason. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing and music.
Survivors include his mother, Doris Blackwood; children, Clay, Sarah and Caleb Blackwood; grandson, Joshua Hunter Blackwood; sister, Marsha Wolfe, aunts, Joan Grove; Kathleen Watts; Bobbie Jean Burgess and uncle, Louie Whitworth.
Honorary Pallbearers will be all personal friends.
Green Plants will be accepted.
The family extends special thanks to the Mt. Lookout Volunteer Fire Department.
There will be no visitation.
