Cora R. Copeland

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at Collier-Butler Chapel for Cora Copeland, 88, of Gadsden, who passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2013. Rev. Vann Lockridge will be officiating with burial to follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.

Mrs. Copeland was preceded in death by her husband, Hobart Copeland; parents, Thomas and Stella Roberts; brothers, Cecil, Fred, S.E., G.A., and Clyde Roberts; sisters, Flora Henderson, Maudie Kilpatrick, and Ethel Clayton; and stepson, Joe David Copeland.

Survivors include her son, Ray Clayton, Jr. (Tirrell); daughter, Melissa Wright (Gary); grandchildren, Kristy Clayton, Darin Clayton (Denise), Emily Wright, Adam Wright, Sydney Barkley, Evan Wright, Karen Copeland Freeman (Mike), Bart Copeland (Janet), Amy Copeland Triola (Greg), Dan Copland, Jr. (Wanda); great-grandchildren, Ricky Ray Clayton, Madison Clayton, Michael, Laurence, Jonathan, Daniel, and Evelyn Freeman, Ben and Emma Kate Copeland; brother-in-law, Joe Donald Copeland; sisters-in-law, Fannie Mary Johnson and Elvie Lee Keener; daughter-in-law, Barbara Copeland; stepsons, Barry Copeland and Dan Copeland (Violet); special niece, Edwina Cooper (Leon) and many other nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Gary Wright, Darin Clayton, Adam Wright and Ricky Ray Clayton.
