Mr. Cullen Jimmy Rusk

Funeral service honoring the life of Mr. Cullen J. Rusk Sr. age 49, of Gadsden, will be held on Saturday, June 12th at 11:00 AM at Bellevue United Methodist Church. Rev. Taylor Gallman and Rev. Johnny Johnson will officiate. Burial at Oak Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Horton, AL with no graveside service. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.

Mr. Cullen Rusk was the owner and operator of The Swapper for 23 years.

Mr. Cullen is survived by his wife, Janna Rusk of Gadsden; sons, Cullen J. Rusk Jr. and Kristien L. Rusk both of Gadsden; mother, Pat Usry of Boaz; sister, Melissa Thornhill; nephew, Evan Thornhill both of St. Louis, MO; Mother-in-law, Willine L. McDonald of Gadsden; brother-in-law, Chris (Tammy) McDonald of Cullman.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jimmy C. Rusk; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C.M. Clark, Mrs. Goldie Lam, Mrs. Darcus Rusk; father-in-law Eldred C. McDonald; and special friend Joe LaCorte.

Pallbearers will be Allen Smallwood, Jimmy Gramling, Sammy Lawley, Steve Eubanks, Conley Garmany, Dwight Rusk, Steve Royal, and Jimmy Jenkins.

The family will be accepting flowers or donations can be made to Bellevue United Methodist Church memorial fund.

The family will be accepting friends on Friday evening from 4:30 until 8:00 PM at Bellevue United Methodist Church located at 209 Mary Lou Circle, Gadsden, AL 35904, Turn right off Noccalula Road onto Noccalula Drive go one block and turn right onto Clayton Road drive one half mile and turn left on to Mary Lou Circle church is located on the right.
