

Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Dorothy “Dot” Brown Bearden, age 91 of Gadsden, who went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, December 8, 2017. Rev. Royce Head will officiate. Burial will be at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
Mrs. Bearden was a native of Newnan, GA and moved to Alabama as a teenager. On her eighteenth birthday married the love of her life, Sam A. Bearden, who preceded her in death 36 years ago. Dorothy was a member of Twelfth Street Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and caregiver.
She is survived by her daughters, Sandra (Ron) Robertson of Mobile, AL, and Gail (Mike) Smith of Richmond, VA; son, Ricky (Denise) Bearden of Rainbow City, AL; grandchildren, Wendy Eddy (Farley) Gilbert, Ashley (Jason) Sampley, Lisa (David) Davis, Paige (Daniel) Sayre, and Lesley (Steven) Crouch; 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friend, Fran Eachus.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the building fund of Twelfth Street Baptist Church, Rainbow City, AL.

Pallbearers will be David Davis, Logan Davis, Farley Gilbert, Scott Cornelius, Wendell Qualls, and Charlie Wrenn.
The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until the hour of service Sunday.
