Dorothy "Dot" Haney

Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, April 16, 2014 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Dorothy “Dot” Haney, 77, of Gadsden, who passed away Monday, April 13, 2015. Rev. Bruce Word will officiate. Burial will be at Forrest Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.

Mrs. Haney attended area schools. “Coffee Time” with friends was one of her favorite times. She also loved cooking for her family and friends. As a member of Triune Baptist Church, she loved helping others, and loved her church family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Allen Haney; infant son, Jeffery Scott Haney; and parents, Leamon “Shorty” and Ada Maybell Staton.

She is survived by his sons, David Allen Haney, and Terry Lamont Haney; grandson, Matthew Dillon Haney; special sisters-in-law, Bobbie Haney, Janie Epps, and Joan Haney.

Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Triune Baptist Church.

The family will accept friends from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service.
