Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday, March 9, 2018 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Dorothy M. “Dot” Hayes, age 93, of Gadsden, who passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2018. Bro. Kenneth Lasseter will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.
Mrs. Hayes was a long-time member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church and current member of Lakeview Baptist Church. Dorothy was a resident of Gadsden most of her life and resident of Guntersville the last several years.
She is survived by her children, Shirley Beaube (HB Thompson), Don Hayes (Elaine), and David Hayes (Peggy); grandchildren, Tom Beaube (Charlotte), John Beaube (Beth), Leslie Hayes, and Rachel Vallee (Joe); great-grandchildren, William, Kate, and Sarah Beaube; and Emily and Maggie Vallee; sister, Mary Gargus; brothers, Guy Casey, and Glenn Casey; and many special nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to Dr. HB Thompson and all those who visited, said a prayer, or thought of her. Thanks also to Alacare and Gadsden Health and Rehab for their caring professionalism; to friends and caregivers at Brookdale Senior Living in Albertville, and Terrace Lake Senior Living in Guntersville.
Pallbearers will be Tom Beaube, John Beaube, Joe Vallee, William Beaube, Terry Gargus, and Doyce Gargus.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
The family will receive friends Friday from 12:00-2:00pm prior to the service.
