Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Mrs. Effie Edwards, 77, Rainbow City, who passed away Monday, January 30, 2012. The Rev. James O. Wallace will officiate. Burial will be at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery in Southside. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Service will direct. Mrs. Edwards was in the antique business for many years. She owned and operated The Antique Mall of Gadsden. She was a member of CrossPoint Community Church. Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her husband Hoyt Edwards, parents, Jeff and Alma Smith, sisters, Flora Meeks and Eloise Mostella, brothers, Ralph and Wilburn Smith. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Del) Kilgo, son, Terry (Emily) Munn, grandchildren, Tom Munn, Telly Munn, Emily Kilgo, Laura Kilgo and Tyler Munn, 4 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and sister, Aileen Pendley. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Special thanks to Linda, Bobby, and Justin Fugatt, Teresa Hannah, Amanda Patton and Gentiva Hospice. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
