

Elaine Brown, 92 ½ years young, of the Lookout Mountain Community went to be with the Lord on Wednesday February 19, 2025. She was born August 2, 1932 to Benson and Audrey Blackwell in the Tabor Community of Etowah County. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 24, 2025 at Black Creek Baptist Church, 244 Black Creek Road Collinsville, Alabama. Reverend Gary Cardwell, John Blackwell, Mark Blackwell and Scott Bobo will officiate. Burial will follow at Black Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Elaine was a lifelong member of Black Creek Baptist Church and devoted her life to serving our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She graduated from Etowah High School in 1950. She married the love of her life Roy Lee Brown on March 3, 1957. Elaine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many. She was her family’s biggest fan!
She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Lee Brown; granddaughter Amy Diane Bobo; parents Benson and Audrey Blackwell; sister Joyce (Clifford) Reagan; brother Johnny Walter Blackwell; and nephew Benny Reagan.
Elaine is survived by her daughters, Charlene (Wayne) Bobo, Sherrie (Kenneth) Ragan, Debra (Joe) Conley; grandchildren, Carla (Steve) West, Brian Bobo, Kendra Ragan (Justin Lee), Kaylan (Blake ) Perry, Michael (Odessa) Abbott, Allison (Eli) Mitchell, and Evan Conley; great-grandchildren, Bryant West, Krislyn (Brandon) Green, Brooklyn Montgomery, Connor Jordan, Kree and Kambri Perry, Joseph and Johnathan Abbott, Tatum and Kasen Mitchell; great-great granddaughter, Wrenleigh Green; sister, Glenda (Harold) Bobo, sister in “love” Faye Blackwell, chosen granddaughter Jessica Feemster and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Brian Bobo, Evan Conley, Michael Abbott, Bryant West, Connor Jordan, Steve West, Blake Perry, Brandon Green, Justin Lee and Eli Mitchell.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Deacons of Black Creek Baptist Church and a host of many friends.
The family will accept flowers or donations can be made to Black Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Riverview Regional ICU Nurses and Staff.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at Black Creek Baptist Church from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Monday February 24th 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service.
