

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Collier-Butler Funeral Home for Eleanor Lee McClellan Dugdale, age 90, of Gadsden, who passed away Friday, November 19, 2010. The Rev. Vince Whittington and Rev. Bill Abbott will officiate with burial to follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.
Mrs. Dugdale was born in Lincoln, AL and raised in the Gadsden area. She attended nursing school in Tuscaloosa, AL and served in the United States Army Nursing Corp during WWII. She was married in February of 1946 and upon her discharge moved to Norwalk, CT where she continued her nursing career for 50 years. Mrs. Dugdale has been a long standing member of the James Memorial Baptist Church since her return to Gadsden in 1994.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett R. Dugdale; parents, Claude and Mamie McClellan; and brothers, Gaylon McClellan and Louie McClellan.
She is survived by her sons, Kenneth R. Dugdale and Richard A. Dugdale; daughter, Linda C. (James) Tiska; grandson, Bryant Dugdale; sisters, Mary Livermore and Dorothy Jean McClellan; brothers, Roy Elmore McClellan and Billy McClellan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
The family would like to express a special thanks to James Memorial Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
