Graveside services will be 2:30 pm at Crestwood Cemetery for Elsie Parker, age 96, of Jasper, who passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017. Don Rodchester will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
Mrs. Parker was baptized in 1955 as one of Jehovah’s Witness “Maw-Maw” Parker was a faithful member of the Jasper Congregation of Jehovah’s Witness since relocating to Jasper from Gadsden in 1995.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence McDonough; mother, Vesta McDonough; son, Richard Parker; husband, Charles Edward Parker; 4 brothers; and 5 sisters.
Mrs. Parker is survived by her daughter, Carolyn (Fred) Erwin of Jasper; son, Danny (Theresa) Parker of Gadsden; daughter-in-law, Joan parker of London, KY; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm at the funeral home Saturday, prior to the service.
