Garry Earl McDaniel

Garry Earl McDaniel, 55 of Ashville, AL went home to be with his Lord and Savior November 22, 2012. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 28th 12:30 P.M. at Collier-Butler Funeral Home, Gadsden, AL, Brother Rick Bradley will be officiating. Burial at Gum Springs Cemetery, Ashville, AL.

He is preceded by his maternal grandparents Howard and Alice Loggins and paternal grandparents Dave and Clydie McDaniel.

Garry is survived by his beloved family, wife of 22 years Connie Patterson McDaniel and daughter Amanda Michelle McDaniel. Parents, Howard and Carolyn Loggins McDaniel. Sisters, Kathy McDaniel Bishop, Becky McDaniel Norris, Ashville. Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law, Donny and Donna Patterson, Rainbow City. Nieces and nephews: Adam Bishop, Tuscaloosa, Joes Bishop, Melissa, Hunter and Carol Ann Norris, all of Ashville. John and Kelly Patterson Lankford and great-niece Sydney Ann Lankford all of Foley, AL. Many, many aunts, uncle, cousins and friends.

He served 4 years in the U.S. Army. He was very patriotic and loved his country. Also, he was a welder by trade.

Garry loved his Lord and Savior and his family. He would help anyone in need. He was an avid deer, turkey, and coon hunter. He loved the outdoors, he used his hunting time to meditate and study the Bible.

Pallbearers will be: Phillip Battles, Eric McCrory, Kenny McDaniel, Andrew Meeks, John Godwin, Joey Nolen and Duane Brownlee.

Honorary Pallbearers and special friends are: Scott Grier, Billy Mashburn, Clay Bearden, Jeff Swindall, Jim Wood.

The family would like to thank the Physicians and Nurses at UAB Emergency Dept. and 8th Floor North Pavilion NICU and thanks to the UAB Chaplains Kelsey Blankenship and Robin Norsworthy.

Visitation will be held at Collier-Butler Funeral Home Wednesday, November, 28th, 10:30- 12:30.
