Gary C Moody, Sr., age 75, of Rainbow City, AL passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Collier-Butler Funeral Home. Rev. Allen Ragan will officiate. Burial will follow at Forrest Hill Cemetery in Birmingham, AL. Collier-Butler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Gary was a graduate of Leeds High School. He loved to hunt and was apart of the FOP Hunting Club. He also enjoyed going fishing and building race cars. Above all, Gary loved his family. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Walker Moody and Margaret Juanita Bailey; and wife Jackie Sue Moody.
He is survived by his wife, Angel Bennington; son, Gary C. Moody, Jr., stepson, Adam (Margie) Bennington; granddaughter, Kimberly Bennington; and brother, Robert (Lynn) Moody.
Pallbearers will be Gary Moody, Jr., Adam Bennington, Dean Isdell, and Heath Jaynes.
The family will accept friends from 12:00 pm until the hour of the service at the funeral home on Wednesday.
