
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Collier-Butler Funeral Chapel with Rev. Philip Elliott and Russell Machen officiating. Special music will be given by Gina Garmon. Interment will follow at Crestwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 pm until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Collier-Butler Funeral Home.
Kelly was a lifelong resident of Etowah County. He earned his associate degree from Gadsden State Community College and attended Jacksonville State University. Kelly grew up attending East Gadsden Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was currently a member of Bellevue Baptist Church.
He enjoyed fishing and working at Noccalula Falls driving the train. Kelly had been a substitute teacher for the Gadsden City Board of Education.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Edna Edgeworth.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 43 years, Judy Edgeworth and son, Matthew Edgeworth; extended family, Kathy Echols, Jeffery and Shaleene Echols, Louvenia Layton, Bruce and Sherrie Evans; nieces and nephews, Brett (Jessica) Evans, Whitney (Bradley) Taylor, Brooke (Alex) Beene, Kailey (Peyton) Maddox and Grant Echols; great nieces and great nephews, MaHaylee and Peyson Evans, Chloe and Colson Taylor and Elandra Kate Beene; cousins, Ray (Peggy) Edgeworth, Charlotte Moore and Donna Bragg.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center at UAB, 1824 6th Avenue S, Birmingham, AL 35233 in Kelly’s Memory.
Pallbearers will be Jeffery Echols, Bruce Evans, Mitch Gargus, Jerry Ingram, Lanny Lancaster, Chris Mason, Mike Prather and Chris Morris.
