

Born March 20, 1936 in Gadsden, AL, she was the daughter of the late Rosa Lee Monroe Coleman and William Reid Coleman, Sr.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six siblings: Ethel Loretta Coleman, William (Bill) Reid Coleman, Jr., Betty George, Jackie Clark, Nancy Henley, and Rose Scarboro.
Helen was a beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Hickory and an active member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, Chapter 34.
She is survived by her sisters, Gail Martin, Gadsden and Connie Blackwell, Huntsville, AL; children: Suzy Milholland and husband David of Huntersville, NC, Rip Prater and wife Ann Marie of Catawba, NC, Ginger Stokes and husband Bill of Claremont, NC, Reid Prater and wife Sonya of Newton, NC. Eight grandchildren: Cliff Milholland, Eric Milholland, Chris Stokes, Sarah Stokes, Aaron Buchanan, Ian Prater, Ashley Prater, Jeremy Prater.
Six great grandchildren: Drew Milholland, Emily Millholland, Gage Stokes, Kai Prater, Aurora Prater, Paxton Prater.
A memorial service will be held at the Ruth R Cross Memorial Chapel at Forrest Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Saturday October 2nd.
