Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, at Collier-Butler Chapel for Herman "Sonny" Presley Jr., 72, who passed away Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013. The Rev. Jerome Mitchell will officiate. Burial will be at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.Mr. Presley loved his children and grandchildren. He liked long Sunday drives to Georgia, enjoyed going to casinos and watching football. He was an avid Alabama football fan. He also enjoyed playing pool.He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Presley Sr.; mother, Elizabeth Presley; sisters, Julie Ann Nails and Lena Adkinson; and brother, Raymond Presley.He is survived by his wife, Betty Presley; sons, Herman Manuel (Michelle) Presley III, Jason (Karyn) Presley, and Chris Presley; grandchildren, Gage Presley, Garrett Presley, Jayden Presley, Jordan Presley; sisters, Joyce Presley Nail, Marjorie Presley Womack, Opal Presley, Patricia Presley Couch, Dorthy Presley Sims and Linda Presley Stallings; brothers, Eugene Frank Presley and Richard Wayne Presley; and special sisters-in-law, Charlotte "Charlene" Fowler, and Sue Fowler.Pallbearers will be children and grandchildren.Special thanks to the staff of Riverview Medical Center ICU, and Joni Walden.The family will accept friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013, at the funeral home.Online condolences may be made at www.collier-butler.com.
