

Friends and Family are Welcome and Invited to visitation, Tuesday, June 20, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. James Catholic Church, 622 Chestnut Street, Gadsden, AL with a Memorial Mass immediately following.
Jacob was born on March 9, 1994, in Dearborn, Michigan to Amy Lorincz and Daniel Teklinsky. Jacob relocated to Alabama with his Mother, former stepfather Gordon Lorincz, and sister Hannah Lorincz in July of 2005, and became a resident of Rainbow City.
Jacob attended both Rainbow Middle and Southside High School, being an honorary student and part of the Graduating Class of 2012. During high school, Jacob was part of SSHS Tennis and the theatre program. After high school, Jacob moved back to Michigan, only to return home to Alabama in December of 2019, where he continued his education online at local universities taking courses in social services and business management.
Jacob’s career centered around the food industry and he earned his certification as a server/trainer/manager to become a manager at local fast food restaurants and then server at local hot spots. Prior to his death, Jacob was working at Koch Foods as a factory worker.
Jacob was baptized and confirmed Catholic at St. Constance in Taylor, MI, and St. James in Gadsden, AL. He was also baptized and saved at Harvestfield Church in Rainbow City, AL, and again at Cove Creek Baptist Church in Glencoe, AL. Most recently, Jacob followed the Laws of Science and the Law of Divine Oneness being a supporter and member the Pride movement and of Gay Rights.
Jacob was smart, had a charming majestic personality, full of humor, love, and generosity. Jacob loved kids, the stars, galaxies, and pop culture music. He loved drama and reality shows and starred in the theater life. Jacob wore his heart on his sleeve, always going out of his way to help friends in need, especially single mothers. His big smile was known for selfies everywhere and was infectious.
Jacob is survived by his mother, Amy Lorincz of Rainbow City, AL; his father, Daniel Teklinsky of Riverview, MI; his sister, Hannah Lorincz of Towson, MD; his sister Autumn Teklinsky of Gaylord, MI; his grandmother, Linda Gohl of Taylor, MI; his uncle Brian Gohl (Kathy) of Plymouth, MI; his uncle Chris Teklinsky (Brenda) of Monroe, MI; his uncle Marc Teklinsky (Dawn) of Wyandotte, MI; his chosen sister, Stacey Fricke & nephew Ali of Woodhaven, MI; along with many cousins, and lots of friends and kids who knew him as Uncle Jacob. Most importantly, he leaves behind his beloved son, a rescue dog, “Ryder”.
Jacob was preceded in death by his grandfather, Paul (Bud) Gohl; his grandparents, Leonard and Nancy Teklinsky; his beloved first dog, Toby; and family dog, Koby, along with many other extended family members and classmates.
The family would like to thank the Gadsden Fire Department, Gadsden PD, and Collier-Butler Funeral Home for the care and services they provided.
A special thank you to Father Jose Chaco, of St. James Catholic Church, who performed a private funeral mass over Jacob for immediate family via video call.
