Leigh Alan Slade

Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Collier-Butler Chapel for Mr. Leigh Alan Slade, 39, Attalla who passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2013 Burial at Oak Hill Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.

Alan was a native of Anniston and a lifelong resident of Etowah County. He was a self-employed Tile Layer, an avid Auburn Fan and Dale Earnhardt, Jr Fan. His favorite thing was throwing football with his son, Seth.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alan and Sandra Slade.

Survivors include his wife, Laura Martin, son, Seth Slade, daughter, Alana Slade, step son, Kody Gewalt, sisters-in-law, Tammy and Kellie Martin, nephews, Ricky Carden, Josh Bragg, Leah Bragg and Jesse Coffia, special niece, “KK” Bragg and special friend, Mike Jacobs.

Pallbearers will be, Josh Bragg, Jesse Coffia, Mike Jacobs, Mike Horton, James McDowell and Ray Barnett.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Chris Aldridge, Craig Hoge and childhood friend, Sam Kirkpatrick.

Special thanks to Carrie Aldridge, James Griffith and Craig Hoge.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
