Funeral services will be at 3:00pm Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Marvin “Butch” Brooks, age 64, of Gadsden, who passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018. Rev. Paul Clark will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.
Mr. Brooks worked for the City of Gadsden. He loved to fish and to play with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Belinda Brooks; father, John Brooks; mother, Gaye Finley; and brother, Leon Brooks.
Mr. Brooks is survived by his son, Michael (Carol) Brooks; Daughter, Stacey (Johnny) Brooks; 7 grandchildren; brother, Brent (Holly) Brooks; sisters, Margie (Richard) Hamby, Sissy Clifford, Renee (Berry) Pulllian and Marsha Rhoads; sister-in-law, Lorrie Brooks; grandmother, Bea Brooks; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Leukemia Foundation.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00-3:00pm prior to the service.
