Michael Stephen Guyton

Michael Stephen "Steve" Guyton passed away on December 25, 2025, at the age of 73. Michael was born on November 21, 1952. A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Collier-Butler Funeral Home. The family will accept friends from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service at the funeral home. Steve will be laid to rest at Rainbow Memorial Gardens.

If you knew our Uncle Steve then you know how great of a guy he was. He was a true Alabama football fan and always knew exactly what time they played and never missed a game. You’d find him outside most days with his dogs letting them run. He always loved all of his beautiful Irish setters so much. He was a loving son, brother, brother in law, uncle and friend.

He was preceded in death by his father-Robert Guyton; Mother, Vennie Guyton; brother, Alan Guyton; sister, Myra Pointer; and great niece, Makenzie Pointer Lancaster.

He is survived by his brother in law, Gary Pointer; nephews, Michael (Jennifer) Pointer and Garrett Pointer; nieces, Genny (Joseph) Duffey, Morgan Pointer; great nephews, Taylor Pointer, Alec Pointer, and Gabriel Duffey; and great niece, Payton Duffey.

We have so many memories of Steve. Going over to his house, hanging out by the creek, pizza nights, birthdays and holidays-he’s always been here. It’s going to be hard without you. We needed you here with us. We love you uncle Steve and until we see you again, “Roll Tide!”
