Myra Jean McGriff

Graveside Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Rainbow Memorial Gardens for Mrs. Myra Jean McGriff, age 78, Gadsden, who died Friday, October 17, 2014. Rev. Todd Carnes will officiate with Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services Directing.

Mrs. McGriff was born in Gadsden, Al on September 7, 1936 to George Arlie Holland and Mary Elizabeth Holland. Myra was a graduate of Emma Sansom High School Class of 1954. She was also a lifelong member of Dwight Baptist Church.

She was married to Charles McGriff on May 1, 1954. They had 60 wonderful years together.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her children; Kim McGriff Cauthen, Kay McGriff (Steve) Adcock, Chuck (Tracy) McGriff and Craig (Mary) McGriff, grandchildren, Nicole Cauthen (Sean) Cory, Brooke Phillips (Brandon) McBurnett, Chase Adcock, Andrew Adcock, Madison Adcock, Hunter Brackett, Devin (Jasmine) McGriff, Dalton McGriff, Mahlon McGriff, Kailie McGriff, C.J. McGriff, great grandchildren, Breanne Tidmore, Caitlyn Tidmore, Kaleb Cory, Maci McGriff. Brothers and sisters, Kenneth (Barbara) Holland, Marcie Holland (Harold) Milner, Monroe (Brenda) Holland, Barbara Holland (Zack) Roberson and Marvin Holland and also many nieces and nephews that she loved so dearly.

Pallbearers will be Chuck McGriff, Craig McGriff, Tim Jones, Mike Roberson, Scott Roberson, Darin Milner, Kevin Milner, Greg Holland, Devin McGriff, Chase Adcock, Dalton McGriff and Hunter Brackett.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the class of Emma Sansom High School 1954.

There will be no visitation.
