Nina A Mcdaniel

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Collier-Butler Chapel. Rev. Philip Elliott and Rev. Royce Head will officiate. Burial will be at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.

Mrs. McDaniel graduated from Etowah High School in 1944. She went to work for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in 1944, where she worked for 43 years. She retired in 1987. She was a longtime member of Bellevue Baptist Church. Mrs. McDaniel loved people. She had a passion for Gospel music, and loved to dance.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Talmadge B. McDaniel; parents, C.W. and Viana Smith Adams; brothers, Charles, Leon, Elmer, and John Adams; sister, Virginia Nelms; and special friend, Leon Bearden.

Mrs. McDaniel is survived by her sons, Gary (Patti) McDaniel, and Steve (LeAnne) McDaniel, both of Rainbow City; Grandsons, Jeremy (Katie) McDaniel, of Lafayette, AL and Joshua McDaniel, of Fortuna, CA; special great-granddaughter, Madison Grace McDaniel, of Lafayette, AL; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Dr. Debora Reiland, Amedysis Home Health Care and Amedysis Hospice. Very special thanks to a precious group of caregivers: Christy Alexander, Dianna Chambers, Connie Bodine, Kim McElrath, Susan Braggs, and Jessie Alexander.

Pallbearers will be: Flavius Maddox, Bud Simmons, Mike Nunn, Wilburn Hunkapillar, Jim Clouse, and Jerry Foster

Longtime dear friends of Mrs. McDaniel include: Flavius and Bobbie Maddox, Mickey and Diania Busby, Jim and Jimmie Sue Clouse, Floyd and Betty Simmons, and Matt and Angie Mabrey.

The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to Bellevue Baptist Church.

The family will accept friends from 12:00-2:00 Saturday prior to the service.
