
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Collier-Butler Funeral Home for Nola Brasher Story, age 88, of Hokes Bluff, who passed away Monday, March 28, 2011. Rev. A.L. Irvin will officiate with burial to follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, Trussville. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.
Mrs. Story was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Story, Jr.; parents, Napoleon Garfield Brasher and Mary Blackerby Brasher; son, Robert D. Story; three brothers, Roy (Jewel), Alfred (Nell) and Gordon (Ruth) Brasher; and two sisters, Edna Brasher and Ethel Brasher (Bud) Irvin.
She is survived by her sons, Patrick L. (Beckey) Story and Michael C. (Sylvia) Story; grandchildren, Randy (Leigh Ann) Story, Jesse Story, Teri Story Jones, Kristi (Skip) Beaird and Eliza Story; great grandchildren, Zach Jones, Jordan Story, Sami Story and Michele Beaird; daughter-in-law, Peggy Story; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Special thanks to Alecia Sheppard, Rose Sheppard and Rose Cain who sat with mom and cared for her during her last few months and also Alacare Home Health.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Collier-
Butler Funeral Home.
