Ophelia “Donya” Woodard Nations, age 75, of Rainbow City, AL passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at Collier Butler Funeral Chapel. Rev. L. Dale Butler will officiate. Burial will follow at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Collier-Butler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Donya was a member of Valley Baptist Church. She was the manager at Hancock’s Fabrics for many years.
She enjoyed sewing, cooking, going to yard sales, and shopping for jewelry, clothes, and shoes.
Donya was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Nations; son, Mark N. Nations; and brothers, Gary Woodard, and Billy Woodard.
She is survived by her son, Jeff Nations; sister, Wanda Daniels; brothers, Guy Woodard and Huey Woodard; and friend, Joyce Lovelady.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Nations, Kevin New, Kris New, and Huey Woodard.
The family will accept friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Tuesday.
