Patsy Bailey Spradlin Smith

Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Crestwood Cemetery for Patsy Bailey Spradlin Smith, 80, of Gadsden, who passed away Monday, July 27, 2015. Dr. R. Gary Ashley will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.

Mrs. Smith was a 1953 graduate of Etowah High School and a member of First Baptist Church, Gadsden, AL.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Dr. Jack Spradlin and husband of 6 years Mst. Sgt.(Ret.) James A. Smith; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bertram Nickelson Bailey; brother, John Bailey; sister Peggy Bailey McDowell; and nephew, Michael Green.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughters, Patti (Jon) Featheringill, and Lisa Spradlin; grandchildren, Michael (Sarah) Payne, Margaret Payne, Maddie Payne, and Jon Featheringill, Jr.; sisters, Nancy Bailey Smith, and Linda Bailey (Ray) Green; nephews, Johnny (Melanie) McDowell, Lynn Bailey, and Greg (Lisa) Green; and niece, Melinda McDowell Calderini.

Pallbearers will be Michael Payne, Jon Featheringill, Jr., Johnny McDowell, Steve Payne, Greg Green, J.R. Cook, and Westley Said

Honorary pallbearers are Lynn Bailey, Jim Slichenmyer, Marvin and Julie Grier, Beth Ashley, Dawn Wade, Darcie Raines, RN, and Scottie Gibbs, RN.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Beginning Community Church, PO Box 7051, Rainbow City, AL 35906.
