

A proud graduate of Southern Illinois University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing, Richard was a man of strong values and relentless energy. From Motorcycles to tractors, he had a lifelong fascination with machinery and a hands-on spirit. His dedication to service extended into his involvement with the Rotary Club and the Masonic Lodge both organizations that reflected his commitment to community and integrity.
At the age of 32, following the passing of his father, Richard took on a pivotal role in sustaining his family’s business legacy. He partnered with his mother to preserve and grow their family partnership that continues to thrive to this day.
Richard dedicated over six decades of his life to the commercial real estate industry, becoming a respected broker and developer of shopping centers and retail properties across the region.
He was preceded in death by his father Melvin F.O. Blaurock, Mother Vera Grace Blaurock, Brother, Melvin F.O. Blaurock, Son in law, Peter McKenna and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Richard is survived by his wife, Margaret; his children, Brad, Kelly McKenna, Jennifer Vickery (Chad), Kimberly, and Melissa Sigmund (Marty).
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association and the Arbor Day Foundation, two causes Richard cared deeply about.
The family extends special thanks to St. Clair First Responders, and the Rotary Community.
A visitation will be August 21, 2025, at Collier Butler Funeral Home beginning at 12:00 pm. until 2:00 PM.
