Robert Patterson

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 3, 2011 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Mr. Robert (Bobby Ray) Patterson, age 71, of Ball Play, who passed away Thursday, March 31, 2011. The Rev. Cecil Jarrells will officiate with burial at Youngs Chapel Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.

Mr. Patterson retired from the drywall business with health problems after 44 years of service. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert E. Patterson and Lillian Bonds Patterson.

Mr. Patterson is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Bonnie Carter Patterson; daughters, Deborah (Stanley) Hulsey; Sherri (Terri) McIntyre of Ball Play, Michelle (Jack) Lewkowski of TX, Ruth (George) Meachum of TN; grandchildren, Steven (Megan) McIntyre of Gadsden, Jeremy (Katie) Hulsey of Hokes Bluff, Kurstin Day of TN; Heather and Michael Hunter of TX; great grandchildren, Daniel and Marli Rae; brother, Lawrence (Libby) Patterson of Gadsden; sister, Dorothy (Cecil) Jarrells of Ballplay.

Pallbearers will be Steven McIntyre, Jeremy Hulsey, Keith Jarrells, Tommy Shields, T.J. Shields and longtime friend, Bill Sudberry.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from noon until 2:00 p.m. at Collier-Butler Funeral Home.
