

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2015 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Robert Teague, age 72, of Gadsden, who entered the gates of Heaven Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Pastor Gary Williams will officiate. Music will be provided by Troy Smith and Phyllis Black. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
Robert retired from Goodyear Warehouse with 31 years of service and from SMI Steel with 8 years of service. Robert was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and active in Sunday School and Golden Ages. He loved music, playing in nursing homes and for senior groups. He enjoyed woodworking and watching his grandchildren play sports. Robert was a loving pawpaw to his grandchildren, caring dad to his children, and a loving husband. He loved his family, church, and friends very much.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Mable Teague; and mother-in-law, Lovella Williams.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Brenda Teague; children, Robbie (Randy) Brewer, Charlotte (Greg) Morris, B.J. Teague, and Donnie (Sonya)Teague; Grandchildren, Jacquelyn (Thomas) Deweese, Cortney (Jeremy) Smith, Samantha Teague, Loghan Teague, Dylan Teague, Dawson Teague, Colin Brewer, and Molly Brewer; and great-grandchild, Landon Smith.
Pallbearers will be family.
Honorary pallbearers are all that touched Robert’s life and was touched by his.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Fairview Baptist Church Building Fund.
We, the family, cannot thank enough, first the Lord for his grace, love, and guidance during this time; the prayers, visits, calls, and cards from all of his friends, church family, extended family, Bro. Gary Williams, and Bro. Ronnie Holmes. Special thanks to all of the doctors, nurses, caretakers, and therapists on the ninth floor of Gadsden Regional Medical Center; Gadsden Healthcare Rehab; Amedisys Hospice; special friends, Kenneth and Linda Nunn, Troy Smith, and Phyllis Black; the Golden Girls, and Hazel and Ray Dixon.
The family will accept friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Robert lost his battle with cancer but gained his entrance into Heaven. Our loss is Heavens gain. Romans 8:18
