

Celebration service for Sarah Katherine Robertson Wells, 84, Glencoe, who went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, May 10, 2011, will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 13, 2011 at Collier-Butler Chapel. The Reverend Jerald Adams will officiate with burial to follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral Home will be directing.
Sarah was a long-time active member of Paden Baptist Church having served in many leadership capacities and a faithful sanctuary choir member for many years. She was a graduate of Glencoe High School and retired after 20 years in nursing service from Gadsden Regional Medical Center. After retirement, she enjoyed working each year, during tax season, as receptionist, at American Income Tax.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Siglon Louise “Easye” Robertson; brother, Howard Robertson, Jr.; and son-in-law, Jim Harris.
She is survived by her children, daughters, Dianna Harris and Vicki Wells; sons, Larry (Jennifer) Wells, and Barry (Sherre Green) Wells, Tommy (Debbie) Wells; grandchildren, Jonathan (Leslie) Wells, Kevin Wells, Josh (Emily) Wells, Andrew Wells, Nelson Wells, Chelsea Green; Great-grandchildren; Kyndal, Courtney, Carter, Jack, and Ryleigh Grace; and special friend of the family, whom she loved like a daughter, Brenda Turner Ward.
Other survivors include; sister, Doris (Ray) Bradford, Gadsden; brother, David (Shirley) Robertson, Glencoe; sister-in-law, Olivia Robertson, Monks Corner, SC; and uncle, Robert C. Morris, Pleasant Grove, AL.
She was “Aunt Sarah” to a host of nieces and nephews and their families and she loved them all very much. She was affectionately known to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many friends, as “Murm”.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, nephews, and close family friends.
A special thank you to the 100 Hall Staff of Gadsden Health Care for the love and tender care given to our mother during her stay there. Also thank you to the emergency room nursing staff at Gadsden Regional Medical Center for their kindness and care. May God bless each of you.

May our mother always be remembered for her never-ending love and devotion for her family and her genuine concern for those around her. She is now resting peacefully in God’s love.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
