Theodore William Howard

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 7, 2018, at Collier-Butler Chapel for Theodore William Howard, 18, who died in a tragic car accident on Friday, January 5, 2018. Longtime family friend Alan Webb will officiate. Burial will be at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Collier-Butler Funeral Home is in charge.

Ted was a graduate of Episcopal Day School and was attending Berry College on an academic scholarship. He was pursuing a dual degree in engineering at Berry and hoped to complete his engineering studies at Georgia Tech. Ted loved working out, listening to music, and shooting hoops with his friends. He participated in intramural basketball at Berry and had recently joined the Berry Rowing Club. He was adored by his parents and the joy of their lives. Life will be hard without him.

Ted is survived by his parents, Ed Howard and Elizabeth Howard; grandparents, Caroline Howard, and William C. and Nancy Ragsdale; aunts, Margaret Howard and Ginny Ragsdale, uncle, Ralph O. Howard, Jr.; special friends, Jeff Burgess, Shayla Burgess, and Auston (Adriane) Burgess, and many loving cousins and close friends.

Pallbearers will be close friends and family.

Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m.
