

Thomas Earl Maeger Sr., born July 16, 1931, died July 9, 2015. Tom was a Marine in the Korean War, and he retired as a jeweler and watch repairman after 28 years at Fort McClellan. He was a member and deacon at 12th Street Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathi Stuckey; son, Thomas Earl Maeger Jr.; son-in-law, Wayne Peppers; and great-grandson, Carson Warren. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Gaye Maeger; daughters, Sheree Bossoff, Rhonda Peppers; grandchildren, April (Michael) Bullock, Randi (Jacob) Warren, Brett (Amy Kate) Stuckey of North Carolina, Megan (Josh) Ashcraft of Georgia, Morgan (Ashley) Maeger of Arkansas; great-grandchildren, Chandler Peppers, Alex and Dawson Ledbetter, Connor New, Kate and Jase Warren; baby girl, Stuckey; baby girl, Ashcraft; and numerous nieces and nephews. Tom will also be greatly missed by his faithful dog, Spots, on their morning and evening walks. The family will receive guests at Collier-Butler Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, July 10, 2015. Dr. Craig Carlisle will officiate the graveside service at Crestwood Cemetery Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 10 a.m. Special thanks to Kathy Thomas and Tony Johnson for their love and support in recent years.
