Wanda Sue Fugatt

Wanda Fugatt, age 55, a devoted caregiver and cherished member of the Rainbow City, Alabama community, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025. she was born on September 2, 1969, in Gadsden, Alabama, Wanda dedicated her life to serving others with kindness and compassion. She is preceded in death by Arthur Lee Fugatt (husband), James Doyle Waldrop.

She is survived by her children Kristin (Michael) Wilson, Christopher (Mackenzie) Bishop, and James Daniel Steven Waldrop. She was blessed with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

For over two decades, Wanda worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), providing care and comfort to those in need. Her unwavering commitment to this profession touched the lives of countless individuals, offering support and dignity to patients and families alike. Wanda’s dedication to caregiving was not just a career but a calling—one that reflected her deep sense of empathy and service.

Faith played a central role in Wanda’s life. A devout Christian, she was an active member of Cross Camp Cowboy Church alongside her husband, Arthur. Her involvement in the church fostered meaningful relationships within the congregation and strengthened her spiritual journey. The bonds she formed within this faith community were a source of joy and fulfillment.

Wanda’s presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness, faith, and dedication to others will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched. May her memory bring comfort to those who mourn her passing.

Pallbearers will be: Josh Johnson, Travis Wise, Philip "Boo" Peoples, Dustin Duncan, David McGuire, Hugh Douglas.

Funeral services will be held at Cross Camp Cowboy Church 799 West Grand Ave Rainbow City, Alabama 35906 at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 07, 2025. Rev. William Spurlock and Rev. Charles Levens will officiate.

The family will receive friends for visitation prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the church.

Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery, Ashville, Alabama.
