Wanda K Walker

Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Crestwood Cemetery for Wanda K. Walker, age 92, of Albertville, who passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016. Bro. Matt Dibler and Bro. Brian Gibson will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.

Mrs. Walker was born October 17, 1923 to the late Virgil and Carrie Kell. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Albertville. Mrs. Walker sang and played the piano beautifully.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander Walker, Jr.; brothers, Porter Kell, George Kell, and Bill Kell; sister, Bethany Kell; and nephew, Junior Taliaferro.

Mrs. Walker is survived by nieces, Peggy K. Taliaferro, and Judy (Larry) Stephens; and several other nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews, Keith (Cindy) Long, Todd (Kim) Stephens, and Melanie (Brian) Gibson; great-great-nieces and nephews, Luke Long, Levi Long, Alexis Stephens, Addison Stephens, Sylvia Gibson and Parker Gibson; and special friends, Sonny and Sharon Paul, and Matt and Paulette Dibler.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your favorite charity.

A special thank you is extended to nieces and caregivers: Peggy K. Taliaferro and Judy and Larry Stephens; Jacksonville Health and Rehab Center; the staff of Autumn Cove Assisted Living in Anniston; and the staff of Alabama Hospice Care of Oxford.
