Chapel funeral service for William C. Griffith, 89, of Lawrenceville, GA, formerly of Gadsden, who passed away February 10, will be 2 PM Tuesday February 14, 2012.Rev. Lauil Thomson will officiate with burial at Crestwood Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral Home directing.
Bill graduated from Hokes Bluff High School where he played football. After high school, he served in the Air Force in the South Pacific during WWII. He retired from Bellsouth. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dulcie who passed away in 1996, his daughter, Linda; and brother, Samuel Doster, Jr.
Survivors include his children, Bill (Tressie) Griffith, Kendall (James) Mann, Renea Cole; sister, Catherine Alexander; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday from 12 until 2 PM at the funeral home.
