

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Collier-Butler Chapel for William "Bill" M. Jones, 86, of Southside, who passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2015. Rev. Kenneth Jacobs will officiate. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
Mr. Jones loved to work in the garden and to take care of his “feathered” friends. He enjoyed riding friends on his boat or golf cart, and reading and talking about the Bible. Mr. Jones worked for Engineering and Sales and retired from Sheet Metal Local 48. He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. He was a wonderful Christian who loved God. Mr. Jones was a hard worker and loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his wives, Betty Ann Jones and Wilma Jean Tanner; daughters, Phyllis Jones, and Diali Pruitt; son, Steven Jones; parents, John and Nina Jones; and sisters, Julia Johnson, Faye Wilson, and Imogene Rhodes.
He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca (Richard) Stancil; granddaughters, Gayla Campbell (Craig) Hartsellee, and Haley Pruitt of Auburn, AL; grandson, Blake Pruitt of Florida; great-grandsons, Alex (Sadie) Campbell of Somerville, and Lance Campbell of Hartsvelle; great-great-granddaughter, Allie Leann Campbell; sisters, Barbara (Ronald)Ogletree of Fort Payne; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Ogletree, Craig Campbell, Richard Stancil, Blake Pruitt, Steven Pruitt, and Lance Campbell.
Honorary pallbearers are Alex Campbell, Alan Ogletree, Rosehaven Shores neighbors.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
Special thanks to Glencoe Senior Activity Center; Manna, for the wonderful meals and visits; Pine Grove Baptist Church; and all of the wonderful friends and neighbors in Southside.
The family will accept friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
