Chapel funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Collier-Butler Funeral Home for Mr. William Lawrence Robinson, 78, Gadsden. The Rev. Paul Kilgo will officiate with burial at Noble Hill Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.
William was preceded in death by his parents, Judge Daniel Robinson and Hattie Ann Cason Robinson; wife of 52 years, Bonnie Lou Robinson; son, William David Robinson; granddaughter, Racheal Robinson; brother, R.J. Robinson; and sister, Velmer Horsley. He was born in Steele on Oct. 23, 1932, and worked as a sawmill worker, dairyman and pulp wooder.
William is leaving behind to cherish his memory his daughters, Betty (Lee) Terry, Mildred Jane (Dale) Stacey, Donna Boyer; sons, Johnnie Ray (Syrell) Robinson, Charles Gene (Linda) Robinson, Laurence Daniel (Dianne) Robinson; sisters, Estelle Collier, Lilly Mae Hollingsworth; brothers, Richard Robinson, Nathan Robinson; 21 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will be accepting friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Friday at Collier-Butler Funeral Home.
