Aimee Emiliene Wright, 90, of Columbus Ohio passed from this Life on September 17, 2023 after an extended illness. She was born in France on November 10, 1932 the daughter of Marguerite Rousseau Guillou and Auguste Guillou. Aimee grew up on a farm in Aixe-sur-Vienne, France. She and her siblings, sisters Simone, Lucy, and Ramone and brother Andre (all are departed) worked hard and tirelessly helping out on the farm. They raised cows, pigs, and sheep and tilled the ground for growing many vegetables and fruits. She, at just a little girl, was responsible for caring for 35 sheep! Being raised on a farm is where she got her green thumb from. Her back yard looked like she brought a little piece of France to the states with her. Aimee met Master Sergeant Lawrence Elwood Wright while he was stationed in France. They married on July 8, 1958. They had a marriage full of love and wonderful memories moving around to different countries and then to different states in the USA. That love was enhanced even more with the addition of their son, who they adored. She loved her husband with all of her heart and that heart never quite mended after his passing in 1996. When they settled down in Columbus Ohio, Aimee spent time working as a nursing assistant and retired from Edgewood Manor Nursing Home where she cared for patients and made lasting friendships. She very much loved her home and her neighbors in the Somerset community of Columbus. She so loved spending time in her garden and was an excellent cook and baker. Holidays with her family were the best and will not be the same without her. Those left behind to grieve her deeply are her son Lawrence Elwood Wright Jr., and her daughter in law, Lisa Michele Wright, two grandchildren whom she lived for, Sierra Noel Wright and Lawrence Elwood Wright Ill (Trey) all of Westerville Ohio an abundance of cousins ,nieces, and nephews from France and West Virginia, along with her very close friends.
We love you so much Memere!
The family wishes to have a private viewing and burial at Mifflin Cemetery where she will be laid to rest right beside her loving husband. They also would like to thank each and every one who sent condolences and their love at this difficult time. A special thank you to the staff at Suncrest Hospice, The Village of Westerville, and Schoedinger Funeral Home for their caring and excellent services.
