It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Beverly Clyde, who left us on February 13, 2025, at the age of 94, in the comfort of her home. Beverly was a compassionate soul who dedicated her life to the love and care of animals and her family.
Beverly was born on January 15, 1931, in Garden City, Kansas. She was married to her high school sweetheart, George Clyde, for 60 wonderful years before his passing in 2011. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless beautiful memories.
A 1948 graduate of South High School, Beverly went on to graduate from Grant Hospital School of Nursing and worked as an RN at Grant Hospital before transitioning into other areas of nursing. She later worked as a buyer for Solidstate Controls, retiring in 1997 after 23 years of dedicated service.
A cherished volunteer at the CHA Animal Shelter for many years, Beverly’s unwavering kindness and dedication touched the lives of countless animals and fellow volunteers. Her tireless efforts and warm heart made a lasting impact on the community, and she will be fondly remembered for her selfless service and deep love for all creatures, great and small.
Beverly was adored by her three children, James Clyde, Nancy Graupmann (wife of Bryan Graupmann), and Georgia Clyde, as well as her four grandchildren: Andrew Graupmann (husband of Elle Elswick), Kelsey Corbeil (wife of Robert Corbeil), Corey Stevens, and Erin Stevens (wife of Thomas Moultrie). Her family brought immense joy to her life, and her nurturing spirit and boundless love will forever remain in their hearts.
As we celebrate Beverly’s remarkable life, we are comforted by the countless memories and the legacy of love and compassion she leaves behind. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire us all.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Beverly’s memory to the CHA Animal Shelter, located at 3765 Corporate Drive, Columbus, OH 43231—a cause close to her heart.
Rest in peace, Beverly. Your legacy of love and kindness will live on in our hearts forever.
A celebration of life for Beverly will be held Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Schoedinger Margarum Northeast, 1051 E Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230.
