Chalyse Marie Callahan

We gather in spirit to honor and remember the life of Chalyse Marie Callahan of Westerville, OH, who was born on January 25th, 1993, and passed away on April 19th, 2026, at the age of 33. Chalyse's journey was filled with love, learning, and the warmth she shared with everyone around her.

Chalyse attended Evangel Christian Academy for much of her elementary years, where she developed a passion for sign language. She loved watching Veggie Tales cartoons and videos, signing along with such happiness. After graduating from Olentangy Orange in Lewis Center, OH in 2011, Chalyse continued to touch lives with her kindness and gentle spirit.

She is survived by her father Andy and step-mother Tracy of Blacklick, OH; her mother Stephanie Parsons and step-father Steve Parsons of Freeport, FL; her sisters Ashley of Columbus, OH and Haley of Mesa, AZ; her beloved Mamaw of Gahanna, OH; her grandmother and grandfather of Cape Coral, FL; and a host of cousins, aunts, and uncles who cherished her deeply. Chalyse is preceded in death by her Papaw and her beloved dogs, Odin and Murphy.

Chalyse had a remarkable connection with animals—they seemed to sense her love and always gravitated toward her. She filled her days with treasured trips with her grandparents and family adventures to Disney and the beach. As a child, she was lovingly called “Belle” from Beauty & the Beast, reflecting her love of books and her radiant presence.

Her thoughtful and loving nature brightened every room she entered. Chalyse held onto the simple joys in life, still getting excited to receive Santa Bags at Christmas and Easter Baskets—traditions she looked forward to with a childlike wonder.

Our sweet girl, your absence leaves a space in our hearts that will never be filled. We will miss you every day until we see you again.

A Memorial Service will be held at Schoedinger Margarum Northeast, 1051 E Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230, on April 24, 2026, at 11:00 am, followed by a Memorial Visitation from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
