Chip Theobald

Charles “Chip” Theobald, 71, of Johnstown, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on December 31, 2023. He was born on January 9, 1952, in Columbus, Ohio to Betty “Jackie” and Gilbert “Charlie” Theobald. Chip is survived by his loving wife, Kay, and children: Noel, Nathaniel, Alyssa, Jason, and Kailyn. He was also blessed with 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Chip also has 3 sisters: Karen, Reen, and Coe, as well as many extended family and friends.

Chip graduated from Franklin Heights High School. He formerly worked for Sears Distribution and retired from Genuine Parts Company. Chip always had a love for flying and teaching ceramics. From a young age, he enjoyed singing and music and always had a heart on fire for Jesus.

Chip was greeted in Heaven by daughter, Danielle. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law, Jerry.

A celebration of life service will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at 11:00 am at Vista Community Church Worthington Campus. 7349 Worthington-Galena Rd Worthington, Ohio 43085.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made in Chip's memory to Canine Companions North Central Training Center- New Albany, an organization close to his heart. Chip and Kay were raising a Canine Companions puppy, Fern, for a short time.

Chip will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
