David Fleischer

David “Dave” Stephan Fleischer, age 86, of New Albany, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025. Born on April 21, 1938, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Stephan and Barbara Fleischer, Dave lived a life of dedication, kindness, and unwavering commitment to his family and community. He graduated from South High School in Columbus, joined the Navy Reserves, and retired after many years of service with the Columbus Fire Department. Dave was a devoted member of Gahanna Church of Christ and, in recent years, attended Faith Life Church.

Dave was an avid fisherman and hunter who cherished his time outdoors. He was deeply devoted to his only daughter, Julie, who lovingly cared for him in his final days.

In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by his wife, Arawana Sue Fleischer, who passed in 2020, and his sister, Joyce Grady. He is survived by his daughter, Julie Fleischer.

Dave will be remembered for his generous spirit, love for his family, and lifelong dedication to his community.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, at Schoedinger Northeast, 1051 East Johnstown Road, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral services will take place the following day, Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Schoedinger Northeast at 9:00 AM, followed by a graveside service at Mifflin Cemetery, 155 Olde Ridenour Road, at 10:00 AM.
