Dorothy Cook

Dorothy Claire Cook passed away Saturday, January 18, 2025 in Columbus, Ohio. She was born in Wheeling, West Virginia and graduated from Shadyside High School in Ohio. She was a beloved mother of four and a homemaker. Dorothy loved to sing in her church and community choir. She was an avid quilter and crafter. She ran a home bakery business for many years. If you were lucky enough to have one of her cakes or cookies, you know what you're missing. Dorothy was an active and longtime member of the United Methodist Church where she was always willing to serve. Her favorites were altar guild, wedding coordinator, United Methodist Women, and even directing the choir.

She is survived by her daughters, Dee Ann (Tracy) Wagner, Deborah (Patrick) Robie, Dana (Randy) Clark, Dreama (Gerald) Holmes, 12 Grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.She is preceded in her death by her parents, Alvin and Della Shaver, her sister Carolyn Vogt, her brother, Richard Shaver and her husband, Floyd Darrell Cook.

A visitation to celebrate Dorothy's life will be held Friday, January 24, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Schoedinger Margarum Northeast, 1051 E Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230.
