Gordon Bond

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Judy Bond; 3 children, Susan Bond, David Bond, and Lorie (Scott) Boone; 3 grandchildren, Nick, Ashley, and Katie; 2 great grandchildren; sister, Marlene; and brother, Steve.

Gordon had many hobbies, umpiring softball, refereeing basketball, Jr. Bowling Coach, and was an avid golfer and bowler. He was a past president of the Columbus Bowling Association, was a former truck driver for Big Bear stores, and enjoyed dressing as a clown or Santa Claus for Children’s Hospital. He was a boy scout and assistant troop leader.

He was known and loved by many people and will be missed very much by his family and friends.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, January 15, from 2pm-5pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 East Johnstown Road, Gahanna, OH 43230. Gordon’s funeral service will be held at the funeral home the following morning, January 16, beginning at 10am. Services will conclude with interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Children’s Hospital Burn Unit on his behalf would be appreciated.
