Jackie L. Chapman

Jackie Chapman, 80, of Columbus, Ohio, peacefully passed away on November 30, 2024. Jackie was a beloved husband, father, grandfather/Dada, great-grandfather, and friend, known for his strong work ethic and love for his family.

Jackie devoted 41 years to The Coca-Cola Company, where he was a dedicated employee and served as Union Steward 20 years. Outside of work, Jackie had a lifelong passion for sports and was an avid golfer, also serving as an Ohio State Red Coat for OSU basketball and football games. His service extended to his country- serving in the United States Navy for four years.

Jackie is survived by his devoted wife and life partner of 50 years, Linda Sue Chapman; children, Tammy Chapman, Jackie Chapman, and Tonya (James) Sanders; grandchildren Jonathan Kelley, Erica and Sydney Snyder, Sonny, Thomas, and Brandon Jones, Walker, Brayden, and Keena Sanders; great-grandchildren Kara'Lyn, Matthew, Braedon, and Kloe Kelley, Kylee Snyder, Kayden May, and Ashton and Jaxson Cortinas; sisters-in-law, Dottie and Sue Chapman. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends who will deeply miss him.

Jackie was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret Ross Chapman and Clifford Chapman; siblings Jerry, Carl, and Carol Chapman; his cousin Larry Spangler;

Family and friends may gather at Schoedinger Northeast Funeral Home (1051 E Johnstown Rd.) on Thursday, December 5th, from 10-12PM. Funeral Service will immediately follow, beginning at 12PM. Interment will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens following the service. Entrusted to Schoedinger Northeast.
