She is survived by her loving children, Lori (Larry) Troyan, Kim Hanners, and Angie (Terry) Davidson. As well as her grandchildren, Cassandra Troyan, Torie Osborne, and Cody Troyan, who affectionately called her Nani; and siblings, Judi Hollander, Mike Thompson, and Randy Thompson. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold Himes, who passed in 2007, and her son, Ben Himes, who passed in 2022.
Janet was an avid reader and a devoted animal lover. Those who knew her best will remember her sense of humor. She had a way of making everyone laugh, no matter the situation.

A memorial service will take place on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at 4:00pm followed by a celebration of life from 5:00-7:00pm at Schoedinger Northeast, 1051 E Johnstown Rd. Gahanna, Ohio 43230.
