He is also preceded in death by sister Patricia; brother John; and brother Michael.

Jim was a proud member of St. James the Less Catholic Church and graduate of St. Francis DeSales High School, 1977. Jim’s faith has always been a cornerstone of his life. Jim served on the SFD School Board while Amy attended high school. Jim’s community involvement is extensive: over 30 years on the St. James the Less Finance Advisory Committee, also serving in roles such as Usher, Booster Club President, festival chairman, and member of the Parish Advisory Board. More recently, he volunteered at the St. Vincent DePaul food pantry—developing procedures, coordinating schedules, and organizing assistance for those in need. In his neighborhood, Jim is known for his hands-on approach to community beautification, often seen “making things look better” by edging sidewalks and maintaining communal spaces.

His entire career was in Transducer manufacturing and Operations, a member of Sensotec/Honeywell, Stellar Technology/Lord, and Delta Metrics/WIKA.

Jim is survived by Cheryl, his loving wife of 43 years; Amy, his daughter; and son-in-law Conor Brunmeier. He is also survived by his sister and best friend, Mary; and brother-in-law, James Appell; along with many family and friends, too many to name. He is also survived by his Godchildren Chris Camboni, Megan Kirkman, Callen Camboni, Lisa Logan, and Ashley Bush.

Jim's family was his greatest love and always enjoyed spending time and seeing them grow and succeed.

Jim had a love for fishing (any) and deer hunting. He will always be a Cleveland Browns fan and continues to wait for that Super Bowl title.

His favorite vacation location was Key West, Florida. Nothing like the sun, rest, and the party.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 26, from 3pm-7pm at Schoedinger Northeast Funeral Home, 1051 E Johnstown Road, Gahanna, OH 43230.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place the following morning, March 27, at St. James the Less Catholic Church, 1652 Oakland Park Ave, Columbus, OH 43224, beginning at 12:00pm

Services will conclude with inurnment at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Lockbourne, OH.
