John F. Baugh

John was born on July 26, 1943, in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He lived in Highland, Kentucky where he spent his formative years. He was a long-time employee at the Fisher Body/Delphi plant on Georgesville Rd on the west side of Columbus, where he worked as a tool and die maker for 39 years, retiring in 2006.

John loved his family spread across Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. He loved exploring nature, taking pictures, reading the newspaper, and keeping up on the latest news story. He always enjoyed spending time with friends at Roosters and Bob Evans on W. Broad Street. John was also a member of Westgate Friends Church on Sullivant Ave, where he sang in the choir for many years.

John is survived by his sister, Eloise New; his children David (Stacy) Baugh, Lori Baugh, Steven (Ellen) Baugh; his grandchildren Nick Davidson, Connor Mahoney, Alivia Baugh, and Abigail Baugh; nephew Paul New Jr., niece Paula (Richard) Lee; and great nieces Amanda Lee and Alyssa Lee. He will be cherished by all who knew him.

Calling hours will be held at Schoedinger Margarum Northeast; 1051 East Johnstown Rd, Gahanna, OH 43230 on Friday, September 27, 2024, from 10:00am-12:00pm with a funeral service to follow at 12:00pm. A private graveside service will be held at Amanda Township Cemetery, 3019 Amanda Northern Rd SW, Amanda Oh 43102.
