Linda Sue Goebbel

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Linda Sue Goebbel, a beloved mother, grandma and “Gaga,” daughter, sister, neighbor, and friend, who passed away peacefully on March 22, 2026, surrounded by her “Girls.”

Linda was born on February 14, 1955, in Columbus, Ohio. To know Linda was to know someone truly “head over heels” in love with life. She was widely regarded as one of the most giving, loving, and generous individuals anyone could hope to meet, and she brought warmth and light to every room she entered. She was also a passionate Ohio State football fan, always cheering on her Buckeyes.

Linda dedicated her professional career to L Brands, where she was a respected colleague and a dear friend to many before her retirement. While she valued her work, her greatest joy in life was her family—especially her “Boys,” her five grandsons. She treasured every moment spent with them, whether cheering them on at soccer, basketball, volleyball, and bowling games, or simply enjoying time together. They were her heart and her greatest pride.

Linda’s presence was a true gift to all who knew her. Her kindness, generosity, and radiant smile touched countless lives, and her absence leaves a space that can only be filled by the love and memories she shared so freely.

She is survived by her “Girls,” her daughters, Jennifer (Scott) Oestreicher, Jamie (Matt) Ellington, and Jackie Goebbel; her "Boys" her 5 grandsons, Drew, Evan, Gabriel, Cameron, and Aiden, her beloved mother, Betty Robinson, and brothers Steven and James Robinson. She was preceded in death by her father, Turner Robinson.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio in Linda’s memory.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Schoedinger Margarum Northeast, 1051 E Johnstown Road, Gahanna, OH 43230, US, on April 8, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
